Coach Hernandez started to play tennis at the age of 12 and competed in high level National Junior and professional tournaments in Colombia for many years. He is currently the Head Tennis Pro at The Tennis Zone and Fitness Center in Quakertown,PA.

       Private and Group lessons

 

 

 

Private lessons can be a great way to speed up the learning process. Private lessons are designed to learn or improve groundstrokes, net game, serve, footwork, tactics and strategical skills for adult or youth tennis players in a one-on-one format for 60 minutes. Students can set the lesson day and times with coach Hernandez.

 

Private Groups:

Fun varied and energetic  drills for beginners, intermediates and advanced players designed to improve stroke production, singles-doubles match play strategies, winning tactics, doubles court positioning, footwork patterns and endurance.

 

 

       High Performance Training

 

 

 

This program is designed for competitive USTA tournament Players. The program  will focus on the strategic and competitive aspects of the game. Although there will be attention spent on the stroke production, more emphasis will be placed on point construction, court positioning, patterns and sequences, percentage plays and live ball drill work. 

Coach travel to tournaments can be arranged.

 

       10 and Under Clinics

 

 

 

ITF Tennis 10s and USTA Net Generation Clinic Format:

 

The program is designed to introduce the fundamentals of tennis. Players will learn the correct mechanics of each stroke, proper court positioning and movement as well as basic strategies for future growth and development. correct technique will be reinforced constantly through coordination exercises and competitive games.

Clinic format is centered primarily on the use of slower red, orange and green dot balls which are 75% 50% and 25% slower than the regular yellow balls respectively. An important aim of the program is to ensure that the player learn to play the game easily and quickly and can serve, rally and score from the first lesson.
